I’m guessing here, but I figure the hawks have to look a little harder for prey in the fall and winter. Thanks, Gary. I’m glad you put this photo on Unsplash. The first time I saw it I knew I HAD to write a micro poem about it.

Thank you, Betty. Gary is an amazing photographer who is willing to go to quite a bit of trouble to get shots like these. Your photos have inspired several of my haiku as well. I believe my favorite is the one I wrote about your picture of the Cliffs at Talum.
