As the boats sail by,
each of us is an island.
Will they come ashore?

Will boats come ashore?
Do we offer them a dock?
How else to make it?

Good point, Betty. And a fine haiku in response. Putting out the welcome mat (dock) is a good plan. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you and Dan.

Betty’s response was perfect David. The island has inhospitable shores. Like many people.
The island is named “Devils Island” yet has a lighthouse. Landing and coming ashore is very difficult, like many churches.

I noticed there appears to be no beach surrounding Devil’s Island. Yet when I zoomed in on the passing sailboat I spotted the inflatable dingy. Perhaps they are more ambitious than most about landing on inhospitable shores. Blessings!

Ya, we went all around the island and there was no safe place to really land easily. I’m not sure how they give light house tours but they do. there must be some way in.
They explore with those inflatable boats. The sailboats explore all 26 islands, some with docks and sand beaches. I think every sailboat I saw was towing a dingy as they cannot get to shore. They anchor in deeper water and use the dingy to come in.
