Autumn Candle

steady cold Fall rain

wind-driven on the window

a still candle burns

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

That’s a great last line, brother! “where three candles burn” works to.

I enjoy the contrast of the warmth in looks and candle heat, the rain and the cold. Being inside is nice those evenings. We have had a few days below freezing for highs and snow covered everything.

The cold (for these parts) has finally arrived. It’s in the mid thirties and looked like the picture all day. We really needed the rain, but a stiff north wind blew it sideways.

that kind of cold is tough I have camped in the wilderness in that…It’s best to be inside by the fireplace.

Shelter inside from the cold rain and the warmth of a candle flame!
