Rain

Photo by Gary Fultz on Unsplash

the morning after

birds singing in the brisk breeze

thankful for the rain

Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.

Hosea 6:3 (NIV)

and in summer, too. 😊

Soul Shine

the water, like glass,

reflecting the setting sun

mirror for the soul

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God in the face Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6 (NIV)

Ode to a Toad

An ode to a toad

Who calls out from his abode

To his wife on the road

“Watch out, mama toad!”

There are things on the road that rumble and run.

Things that will squish you to dry in the sun

Let’s not forget our marital roles.

What would I do with 100 tadpoles?
