after the rain came
the sun, in the azure sky
turned brown into green
He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:10a (NIV)
Twenty-two years ago, this summer, my life hit rock bottom. By God’s grace, I’m still here. Friend, if you’ve been there, you can make it too!

And you, perhaps, know that as well as anyone. Thank you for your devotion to help others.

I love those tiny burr oak leaves just popping out of their bud. Light shines right through them.
And yes, a rain came and they just appeared.

There’s a huge burr oak in the woods behind my church. Two of the retired guys who mow the grounds measured around it’s trunk: 17 feet 6 inches. We did the tree math; that mighty oak is over 200 years old. That’s a whole lot of starting over ever spring. God is faithful.

Wow, that’s a whole lot of tree. They do not even come close to living that long or getting that big in the north country.
