Low Canopy

Clouds, close to the ground

Covering the empty trees

with an eerie mist.

And I see you also write poetry.
The featured image pairs well with your atmospheric haiku, which, to me, evokes a late-fall morning. Well done.

It was a late fall morning, last week, that inspired this haiku. Thank you for reading and commenting on my Haiku. I write mostly traditional 5-7-5 form.

We get the eerie mist here at the ranch in the morning, that comes from the reservoir nearby, until it freezes over in winter. It is lovely, and then the little glimmers that look like diamonds just add to it.

We don’t get the diamond glimmers very often here, but I know what they look like. My wife used to live in Alaska, where they had freezing fog!
