An ode to a toad
Who calls out from his abode
To his wife on the road
“Watch out, mama toad!”
There are things on the road that rumble and run.
Things that will squish you to dry in the sun
Let’s not forget our marital roles.
What would I do with 100 tadpoles?

Very nice poem David. Good rhythm and rhyme. This is a good niche for you??

Thank you, Gary. I do enjoy writing poetry, especially short poetry. This isn’t my usual haiku, but I wanted to share it. Thank you for reading and commenting.
