Soul Shine

Photo by Gary Fultz on Unsplash

the moon would not shine

without support from the sun

ponder reflection

And we, who with unveiled faces reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)

Autumn Flower

a rare fall flower

does not know the winter waits

her faith in full bloom

Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

Life Erupts (Poem)

Fellow micro poet, Flowintowords, from The Good, The Truth, and the Beautiful shared a haiku yesterday that is simply superb. I share it today as my weekly post.

Still 2.0

sometimes in silence

uncrowded words speak the best

solitude and rest

line two was inspired by Matthew Richardson, writer of fine short stories and a fellow micro poet.

Fallen Leaves

In the howling wind

a familiar voice: “Save me!”

I hear, and cannot.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.

The Fall and Rise

sunshine and stained glass

dried up drifted leaves aglow

God redeems The Fall

But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself.

Alone

*solitary hawk

on the second day of fall

his family, flown

When my father and mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.

Psalm 27:10 (KJV)

* The Mississippi Kite is a small hawk which lives and hunts in families. These birds arrive in our area every Spring, when insects are plentiful, and fly south the next Fall, when their food supplies dwindle. The bird in the photo must be too old, sick, or injured to join his family, who left for South America about two weeks ago.

Looking Forward

as the summer fades

the red oak leaf and acorns

expect renewal
