Oh, I like it very much. That’s a good take on a harvest moon.

I put a link to your haiku as a ps on my last blog. It will be fun to see if those kinds of connections work

Thank you, Gary. I enjoy our collaboration! My poetry site could use some more traffic. BTW “The Steadfast Lighthouse” is now my most viewed Haiku.

I’m guessing here, but I figure the hawks have to look a little harder for prey in the fall and winter. Thanks, Gary. I’m glad you put this photo on Unsplash. The first time I saw it I knew I HAD to write a micro poem about it.

You are guessing right. The shorter days do not help either. Hawks won’t dive into the water but they will snatch swimming objects out if they can carry them off.

Who says a picture is worth a thousand words? Excellent job with ten of them. Beautiful pairing of picture and words.

Brilliant David! The additional scripture adds another layer of richness to both the poem and Gary’s photo.

Thank you, Betty. Gary is an amazing photographer who is willing to go to quite a bit of trouble to get shots like these. Your photos have inspired several of my haiku as well. I believe my favorite is the one I wrote about your picture of the Cliffs at Talum.
