such beautiful leaves.
startled by an early snow
delicacy dazed

autumn morning walk
with my breath a trail of fog
the turn toward home

out of death comes life
such a paradox, it seems
to be born again
I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born from above.
Jesus – (John 3:3)

Like the autumn rains
on the thirsty, thirsty plains
hope springs eternal
and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s Love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:5 (ESV)

with hummingbirds gone
and no trees filled with bird song
almost leafless rain.
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)

the marble table
sitting outside in half shade
just waiting to shine
The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
Proverbs 4:18 (NIV)

With the quaking leaves
I feel the northerly breeze
Fall’s game is afoot.

dragonfly. all eyes.
may I hold you in my hand?
but you dodge the fall
One possible interpretation:
The all-seeing dragonfly must sense that cooler weather—and his impending demise—are near. Yet he is still agile enough to keep me from catching him in my hand. He continues to dodge the fall—avoid the inevitable.
